“You do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life?  It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away” (James 4:14).

How often do you think about the music of your life coming to an end?  It’s easy to be lulled into thinking that we have all the time in the world.  But none of us gets to store up more time.  To the contrary, each of us is steadily running out of this precious commodity.  Are you embracing this truth as you go through this fragile life?

I’d like to challenge you to earnestly view each day as a gift.  See it for what it really is: a literal “here today, gone tomorrow'” opportunity to intentionally make choices that define your life for all eternity.  Each day represents a fleeting bar (or segment) on the timeline of your personal history.  What we must recognize is that the bar of any given day has the untapped potential to spawn a life-event that shapes your future in a momentous way.  In fact, an otherwise uneventful day in your life just might be the kind of day that becomes a bar on the timeline of history itself.  Of course, that day can be any day! God may desire to use you to accomplish something so great that you couldn’t dare conceive of it even if you tried.

So don’t live off-purpose―instead, embrace your life with passion and purpose. Each day is your GOD-given currency to invest in the holy pursuit of significanizing this vapor of life for the benefit of His glory and your eternal future.

After all, time is precious. Life is short. Eternity is incomprehensibly forever

Weigh this salient truth against everything that you do.  Build your life upon this enduring spiritual reality.  Then you’ll be inspired to continually reprioritize how you redeem this fleeting life.

Resolve now to live for what matters most!
